BIO

Lyzz Lundberg Sidebotham was born, raised, and resides in Central Illinois. Having spent many years in the local art/music/culinary scenes, Lyzz took it upon herself to earn a degree in Studio Art from Illinois State University's Wonsook Kim School of Art while working full time as a single mom. After a hiatus post-graduation to flourish in a traditional tattooing career, Lyzz began painting again. With fervent determination to incite discourse with hard-edge lines merging with sensual undulations of gushing color, Lyzz shifts between the disciplines of painting and conceptual installation work to fully effectuate engagement. Her work reveres local and site-specific architecture and salvaged objects with colorful abstraction and frantic organization in pursuit to capture the ennui of modernity and liberation through hedonism and intimacy.

Lyzz has received numerous accolades for her work from Central Illinois to Los Angeles to Budapest.

When she isn't tattooing or making art, she is laughing, exploring, and wringing all the joy she can from this weird world with her soulmate and muse, Harry, and caring for their children, pets, and garden.
